I
would like say that this trip was an eye opener
in many ways. We learned so much about the history,
the dancing and the tango music that so many pieces
of the tango puzzle just came together. Add to that
a caring host (Oliver Kolker), twelve eager Tangolovers
and a fabulous program that included a private session
with bandoneon player Lissandro Androver, and famous
singer Alberto Podesta....and throw in 22 hours
of lessons with greats like Osvaldo Zotto, Horacio
Godoy, Pablo and Dana, and Melina Brufman plus a
whole day at Oliver's parent's ranch...with barbeque,
horseback riding, chacarerra dancers and musicians
and you can see why we all enjoyed it immensely.
In fact, some of the participants are already making
plans to return!! This was not only a bargain, but
those of us who participated in the World Tango
Festival and then experienced this smaller,but tailored
just for us tour, certainly appreciated the difference!
